Time Coded Lyrics originally started as a way to share the Korean song translations I've been working on. Creating karaoke captions was a fun way to showcase the effort that I put into matching the original song's rhythm and rhyme in addition the translation. At first I created captions with a video editor, but that process was too manual and time consuming. I wasn't able to find alternative software that fit my needs, so I threw together this bilingual karaoke machine.
I've spent some time cleaning up the editor UI and now anyone can share links to their own karaoke captions. Let me know if you find bugs or have any feature requests. I hope that a small community can form around creating playlists and fan translations that adapt the musical aspects along with the lyrics.
